                               2007-2008 PGC Polar Bears

Polar Bears started as a group of newbie shooters who didn't want to lose their developing Trap and Skeet shooting skills over the Winter – i.e., we didn't want to hibernate like the other bears. Besides, there is the welcoming warmth of the fireplace in the club house in which to thaw out as needed. We've been going for 4 years now and welcome new cold weather shooters, regardless of skill level. We have the following goals:

      o           Camaraderie

o           Enjoyment

o           Shooting (both clay targets and the bull)

o           Retaining our Skills

This year, if there is interest, we would like to expand our horizons and offer variety. Aside from the usual Trap and Skeet games, this year's plan is to flesh out the January - to-March period with a real schedule of other clay games like Double Trap, Double Skeet, the dreaded Double Wobble, Chinese Wobble, etc. that can be done under the lights.

This is not intended to be a competitive league - for score or not is your choice.

We have been meeting on Tuesday evening about 5:00PM and commencing the activities once a squad has formed. We run an e-mail list to facilitate in-time communication because Mother Nature has her own ideas about letting Polar Bears have too much fun.

If you don't mind wearing a hat, coat and gloves to shoot – i.e., you are like us and like to gripe about it being cold but don't let it confine you – let us know and we will add you to our merry band of winter shooters.

See Andy Rosenberg or Ted Bauer for more info or to sign up. We're generally at PGC on Tuesdays; otherwise our e-mail addresses are:
